Women in Business

The Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce Women In Business, WIB, organization is made up of Chamber members interested in expanding their involvement in the business community.  Corporate leaders from throughout the valley are asked to speak at the monthly WIB luncheons, bringing a broad range of business experience to those women in attendance each month.

The objective of the WIB is to make a difference in the community.  They promote and support the Chamber’s scholarship program, presented annually to five seniors who are selected as Jr. WIB girls in the Canyon School District.

Members work throughout the year supporting the Chamber’s annual celebrity golf tournament, The Craig Bolerjack Golf Classic, where a portion of the proceeds benefit breast cancer awareness and help to provide free mammograms to women in need.

Luncheons are held monthly for WIB, please check the Chamber website Events Calendar for the date and time.  There are no required membership dues.

To find out how to apply for a free mammogram please call the Chamber office and you will be contacted by the programs administrator.  Grants from major corporations are welcome  along with individual contributions to the Chambers Charity 501-C3 Foundation.  A portion of the funds raised at the Golf Tournament are committed to the Mammogram program.

The women involved with the Women in Business Committee are helping to bring to all Chamber business women outstanding speakers and programs.

2012 Mammogram Program

The Women in Business Committee of the Greater Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce is presently in charge of the Craig Bolerjack Cancer Prevention program in conjunction with St. Marks and Lone Peak Imaging Center offering free mammograms to uninsured women with limited income.

In charge of the mammogram program for the WIB is Kris Coleman, Coleman Appraisal, who may be reached at 801-694-9482.  Grants from major corporations have been received along with individual contributions to the Chambers Charity 501-C3 Foundation.  A portion of the funds raised at the Golf Tournament are committed to the Mammogram program.

The Craig Bolerjack Celebrity Golf tournament draws political, corporate, and media leaders from throughout the entire valley, making it one of the largest tournaments in Sandy.
