Mountain America Power Connections Mission Statement: Provide effective events that connect business minded professionals to build lasting relationships and close more business as a benefit of chamber membership.

POWER CONNECTIONS Networking luncheon

Twice a month Committee organize two business networking luncheons that focus on helping you build influence in the business community and make new contacts. These meetings are designed to assist you in making strategic connections with other business leaders and owners. The luncheons are held at a Chamber member restaurant and are facilitated by the staff and a member of the Committee.

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS

Breakfast of Champions is a monthly breakfast networking meeting with a special guest speaker. Guest speakers are champions in business, sports, or in the community who have overcome hardships and made a positive difference in the lives of others. These meetings are designed to assist you in making strategic connections with other business leaders and owners. The event is free with breakfast sponsored by a catering company or restaurant, the room is sponsored by Craig Swapp & Associates, and the audio/visual is sponsored by Taylor Audio.

BUSINESS MARKETPLACE

The Business Marketplace is a free, one day business expo/networking event held 3 times a year at South Towne Expo Center (previously at Rio Tinto Stadium). New members are given a free booth to exhibit their business and participate in a new member ribbon cutting ceremony. The event is covered by the Deseret New and Salt Lake Tribune in a full-page, color ad that includes the participating new members’ company name. Existing members may also have an opportunity to purchase a booth to showcase their business. The Business Marketplace is open to the business community to come and meet new contacts and win prize drawings!

CULTURAL AND SPECIAL EVENTS

The Committee is also involved in organizing several other special events throughout the year. These events include gatherings at the Utah Symphony, Utah Opera, concerts at Deer Valley, Real Salt Lake soccer games, and other sporting events with the Utah Jazz, Bee’s and Grizzlie’s. Other special events support Chamber Advocacy, such as Meet the Candidates and discussions based on current issues.
