Greg Summerhays is a skilled relationship manager with a strong background in public relations, communication, strategic planning, management, and resource development. Greg has spent his career working with diverse groups of individuals and across multiple sectors. Greg has been heavily involved in advocacy work around key issues impacting immigration and education.Greg worked for WCF Insurance for 14 years, the majority of that time as the Public Relations Director. He has spent the last few years working for United Way of Salt Lake raising resources to support their collective impact work. He has served on many nonprofit and business boards and committees.He lives in Sandy with his wife and four children. He loves the outdoors and enjoys trail running, hiking, water skiing, and photography.
Gaylen Nate

Gaylen currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce. Before joining the chamber, Gaylen enjoyed a 29-year career in the hospitality industry owning and operating hotels in Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, and Idaho. Gaylen enhanced his hospitality career by graduating with honors from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, where he specialized in accounting and financial management. Gaylen is also a Certified Hotel Administrator, which is the most recognized and prestigious certification available in the lodging industry throughout the world. Gaylen also served as a member of the Utah Hotel and Lodging Association, Ski Utah, and Visit Salt Lake. Gaylen has additionally served as a past board member of both the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Best Western Utah Marketing Co-Op. Gaylen also previously served as President of the Midvale Chamber of Commerce. In addition to serving as the chamber’s Chief Operating Officer, Gaylen also serves as the President of both G & P Nate Investment Company and Sierra West Investment Company. Gaylen loves to meet new people and enjoys mentoring youth. One fun fact about Gaylen is that he likes to coordinate his family’s various motor vehicles in red color schemes. Gaylen enjoys music, boating, traveling, and above all spending time with his wife Pam, his three children, and his three grandchildren. Gaylen considers the formula for success to be vision, desire, determination, and service.
Jordan Francis Jordan Francis

Jordan was welcomed as the Director of Sales in August of 2016. In this role, he sets out to bring new members to the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce, where he can strategize with business owners the best way to utilize all of the Chamber’s events and features. In the summer of 2013, Jordan joined the Chamber as a sales representative for his  internship at Utah State University. The internship at the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce sparked his desire to pursue sales as a career, working in various capacities, such as, Staples Business Advantage, and Lendio. Along with working, he has wanted to continue his education from Utah State University and he is currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix and will graduate in September of 2017.  In his free time, Jordan enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym, spending time with his fiancé Andrea who he will marry in September 2016.
Leesha Francis

Leesha was named Director of Programs & Special Events for the Sandy Chamber of Commerce in March of 2014.  In this capacity she works with the chamber staff and board members to host weekly, monthly and annual events for chamber members and the business community throughout the valley. Prior to joining the chamber staff Francis was the executive assistant and claims manager for Big-D Construction.  She served in this capacity from April 2011 to December 2013.  In this role she was in charge of the safety team, random drug testing, workers comp claims, and generating monthly employment and safety reports. Francis worked for Okland Construction for five years working with the safety team and coordinating subcontractors and also coordinating event management for the employees and subcontractors on the job site. Francis graduated from BYU Idaho with an Associates degree in Arts & Science.  She lives in South Jordan, Utah and enjoys water skiing, scrap booking, cooking, camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Maddie Broderick

Madisen Broderick graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. With a love for technology and communication, she joined the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Communications. She has mastered multiple social media platforms, as well as coordinating a wide range of events. Madisen has travelled to various countries where she enjoys learning the ways of the locals and practicing her French. Her hobbies include, dancing, traveling, great food, and skiing.
BECKY Becky Guertler

Becky joined the Chamber as the Director of Educational Programs in April 2016. With her passion for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, she hopes to propel the program to new heights. Becky currently works as a Project Manager for J & J technical. Previously, she has worked in sales for both Xerox and Canon equipment, in the Data Management and Regulatory departments of a pharmaceutical company, as well as a Project Manager for the U of U Departments of Neurology and Human Genetics. She graduated from Western Governors University in December of 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing Management. Outside of work, she keeps busy with her husband, John, and their three kids.

Shellee Spafford currently serves as the President of Abacus Accounting & Bookkeeping. Shellee started her accounting career at Merrill Lynch National Financial in 1992. In 1996, Shellee started doing bookkeeping for a small business on the side and opened up Abacus in 1998. For the last 16 years, Shellee has grown to learn and experience the financial backgrounds and accounting strategies of many industries. Shellee attended Westminister College in Salt Lake City and received a BS in accounting.
